Comic Relief

Overton CE Primary once again played its part in supporting Comic Relief on Friday 15th March.  We reminded ourselves that this important fundraising event  aims to create a just world free from poverty.  The money raised is used to transform lives in the UK and around the world.

Overton take part because our children learn valuable life skills and gain understanding and empathy for others in the world and demonstrate that our school can really make a difference to people’s lives. Our amazing School Council take ownership of the planning and running of the day.

Overton children and staff all turned RED to celebrate Red Nose Day and held a school mufti day where we went ‘red-to-toe’ for a donation of £1. We  also sold “Red nose day themed” biscuits.

There was also a Red Nose Day competition. The competition was to design a new Red Nose Day nose.

A fantastic £650 was raised for this worthwhile cause. Thank you and well done to all involved.

More photos of the day will be posted soon.
